About Me
I have been crafting and quilting since I was a child. My own work is
based in Country folk art which has a soft, casual look. The shapes do
not have to be perfectly formed and can include quirky flowers, hearts
and animals, with a selection of primitive stitches which all add to
the wit and whimsy of their charm. Traditionally
wool, flannel, felts and cotton fabrics are used, especially checks,
plaids and soft country florals but I also like to bring more vibrant
and modern patterns to my work.I never make two things exactly the same so each creation is individual, the perfect gift with a whimsical charm.
It is important to me that the products available both in my shop and on the website are of a high quality, which is why I use only the best fabrics, trims, bating and stuffings in my own work. The lavender I use is from both local and Sussex farms which is highly fragranced. Most of the fabrics are 100% cotton and the felts are at least 30% wool.
When making products with children in mind, such as my soft toys, I use high quality toy fillings and embellishments that will always be safe in small hands.
I believe my customers' needs are of the utmost
importance. I am committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high
percentage of my business is from repeat customers and referrals.
Thank you to my daughter Katie for creating this wonderful website and helping me with all my shows.
